Responsibilities

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video. At TikTok, our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. TikTok's global headquarters are in Los Angeles and Singapore, and its offices include New York, London, Dublin, Paris, Berlin, Dubai, Jakarta, Seoul, and Tokyo.

Why Join Us
Creation is the core of TikTok's purpose. Our platform is built to help imaginations thrive. This is doubly true of the teams that make TikTok possible.
Together, we inspire creativity and bring joy - a mission we all believe in and aim towards achieving every day.
To us, every challenge, no matter how difficult, is an opportunity; to learn, to innovate, and to grow as one team. Status quo? Never. Courage? Always.
At TikTok, we create together and grow together. That's how we drive impact - for ourselves, our company, and the communities we serve.
Join us.

Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

Within the Trust & Safety team, the Enablement team aims to be the strategic partner of T&S, driving collaboration, optimization, and synergy for T&S global functioning, whereas other T&S functions fight at the frontline for content integrity and community safety. We facilitate the application of smooth cross-functional/cross-region/cross-culture corporations, support and training, and drive change initiatives for leadership within the organization so that they fight with maximum efficiency and sustainability.

We are looking for a dynamic risk professional who can lead and influence, yet is hands-on and innovative in ideating and iterating capabilities to address the ever-growing breadth and complexity of risks facing one of the world's most popular platforms.

The T&S Risk Management function is focused on addressing enterprise, operational and emerging risks across Trust & Safety, encompassing a broad continuum of risks across policy, process, systems, platform, people, and regulatory domains.

The Risk Management team works constantly to identify strategic priorities, opportunities, and pain points in the organization's risk management landscape, providing data-based insights and business-centric solutions. Together with cross-functional stakeholders and partners, we build greater efficacy and consistency in T&S's risk management capabilities, and promote global synergy whilst enabling localized decision-making.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.
This may occur in the form of images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.

What will I be doing?
- You will build and continuously enhance risk capabilities that are fit for the 21st century, including targeted risk awareness and education campaigns, gamification and microlearning initiatives, natural language virtual assistants and much more.
- You will be responsible for designing, structuring, developing and maintaining policies and processes for T&S's internal risk management.
- You will work closely with policy and product development teams to promote the implementation of policies and processes at the platform level to improve overall risk and compliance outcomes.
- You will assess and implement mitigation measures on key people, process and system risks, covering such domains as risk culture and awareness, privacy and data protection, access management, third-party risk management, regulatory developments and emerging risks, business resiliency, etc. whilst ensuring alignment with business needs and enterprise policies.
- You will build collaborative relationships with a broad range of cross-functional teams in such areas as legal and regulatory compliance, project management, information security, internal controls, data and privacy protection, conduct and ethics, identifying areas to build or improve internal controls and optimize processes.
- You will partner with legal and compliance teams to track and assess changes to laws and regulations that affect our organization, updating relevant policies and processes in a timely manner, designing and implementing corresponding controls, and continuously monitoring our risk and compliance environment.
- You will work with Learning & Development partners and vendors to create, deliver and promulgate training and awareness programs to enable a robust risk management culture across T&S.
