American Express publishes Intent Intelligence framework for agentic commerce
On October 13, 2026: American Express published a framework to capture customer purchase constraints, authenticate approval and preserve proof of intent as an AI agent transacts. It includes a Create Intent API, Intent ID and Proof of Intent Token in its ACE Developer Kit. It is tracked as a research move because American Express published the primary source.
